Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Clueless Cordani https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwVIjMNt11U

Seriously, is he that far up his own backside that he doesn't keep track of his own organization? His flippant dismissal of anything negative brought to his attention is sickening. Laying people off left and right while piling the work of three on anybody remaining. How many more are they going to lay off before realizing there just aren't enough people left to make their money for them?

It’s true. They are absolutely scrambling but in that, they are making everyone else miserable. I can’t imagine how much blame is being heaped on the employees behind the scenes. It’s sad that leadership outside of MA is buying their nonsense. It’s obvious what they are doing though - they are creating problems where none ever existed in an attempt to deflect.

I have to admit that it is a bit fun to see some of the MA leadership shaking in their boots. Cornerstone, I hear was a disaster, and now that we are under the CIA it won't be long before someone screws up or Sr. Leadership takes notice and the chips will start falling. I will be laughing my a** off and I don't care if I do get laid off because working in MA su-ks now.

“Very few carry real business acumen, more in MA join the laid back feel and take advantage. C-Suite is in charge of the vision and stake holders, if Cordani and the C-Suite saw how the MA portion of the business was being directed and the lack of in depth knowledge on how to position us in the market, most would be on the chopping block. Never seen so many people call themselves leadership that produce archaic reports, basic directives, and smile while charging everything to the corporate card. The talent isn't here to keep us afloat.”

So true. Now that management is putting the pressure on the employees/underlings who, some, have real talent and leadership skills. It’s funny though, they are focusing on all of the wrong things and will, in the end, get canned, if people start doing hard looks at MA. The employees aren’t the problem and never have been. It’s management and upper management. It doesn’t take long for new employees to catch on, either. Wouldn’t take long for someone to do some digging and figure out the real problem here. But what do I know?

Nice video, I was aware of the firstsource move from this website. I too was on that conference call and heard Cordani fumble.

I'm not defending Cordani by any means, why someone is valued at 20 million plus I don't know. However, having worked for major corporate MA carriers in the past, and transitioning on a positive note, when I came to Cigna I noticed that the way upper management to national function to run a business is a head scratcher. Very few carry real business acumen, more in MA join the laid back feel and take advantage. C-Suite is in charge of the vision and stake holders, if Cordani and the C-Suite saw how the MA portion of the business was being directed and the lack of in depth knowledge on how to position us in the market, most would be on the chopping block.
