Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

Layoffs Again?

Does anyone have any knowledge if layoffs are on the table again? Merit delayed supposedly due to HS sale.
In 2023, we saw similar delay, preceded by layoffs.

Now, our leaders are asking for our job assignment list. Should we be worried? Do you have similar request at your end?

@gj I hope you’re right. I don’t want to start over again. I came back after a layoff a few years ago.

Failure to deliver newely won contracts and expected contractual penalties will require additional 'free cash flow' harvested in the next few quarters.
The 'tiling' program will have a hard stop on theese.
See you in a better company next year.

Sabre has a long history of layoffs but sad to see what a spiral Sean Putin started.

Our leaders are being forced to compile termination lists, a task they're undertaking by requesting assignments under duress. They understand that refusing to comply means they'd be on the list themselves. Yet, considering the current approach of our top leadership, it seems compliance offers no real protection; it appears everyone is equally susceptible to being included. This is a challenging environment, and I currently feel unable to change my situation.

Just attend the town hall , if they say "no layoff" = " there will be layoff" as it happens in 2023
