Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Attrition on your team?

Here it's drastic - we lose people every day and nobody new is being brought on to replace them. Not sure how that'll work in the long run...

Every account in my org had a FY 20 account plan review.......on Saturdays. Every meeting was booked on a SATURDAY over the last 2 months. Plan shows growth dependent on hiring. STILL not allowed to hire.

I also remember CSC in the 90's. So many customers joining almost every other week and trying to keep up with the growth. So many talented people and the company really was leading edge and lots of training partners and investment in outside groups, training courses, even those management outwood bound courses building rafts on rivers (not sure why, but it was the 90's).

Looking at the smoking skeleton now and hearing the echoes of a one happy company, its hard to imagine it was every like that. The culture, ethics and values long since dissoved. I've recaptured some of that with a new company who spend money like its going out of fashion, but the people aren't the same. Ah well.

Keep the integrity. But don't take it personal when the dreaded time comes. DXC are so hopeless, they can't tell dedicated people from those that are there in name only and expecting thanks....the only valuable thanks is from the customer. DXC would never thank you, it doesn't know the meaning of appreciation or that "people are our greatest asset" to quote an old 90's CSC tag line.

"Teams" - ha, remember them? Now all we have a loose collection of individuals who just happen to be assigned to the same project.

I'm sorry it's come to this. I remember in the 90s when CSC was a good company to work for. I very nearly handed my notice in today, I feel so unappreicated by the management and feel that they likely think they can treat me poorly. Sad but I hold to the thought that if I do good work for the customer and I'm nice to people no matter what things will work out in the end. I know my work is appreciated by the customer even if it is not appreciated or rewarded appropiately by DXC. Best for me to try and keep happy. All the best to everyone at DXC.

team? what's that? ah you mean people who contributes with you... no I've been team-less for about year and a half just got some indian guys who try to help but have no idea nor willingness to learn and they just stop any attempt to get things done.. so no, no teams or people replacing others leaving
