Thread regarding 3M layoffs

A comment on reddit got me thinking

I read this comment in a reddit thread about MV and made me wonder if there might be truth here. I realize the Woodbury sting makes for a much better story, but what if ...

"You’re missing that he was probably outed because of the lay offs. The euphemism here is likely se-ual harassment and someone was let go and called him on it. (Finally) Wouldn’t be the first time a ‘mutually beneficial’ arrangement was no longer mutual and turned sour."

@gdc, be careful when posting on Reddit - it is not anonymous, someone may recognize you easily, all it takes is just one look to your contributions by someone who knows your writing style.

Also, when you post on a platform that requires an account like Reddit does you are an easy target for being sued (by 3M or even a private lawsuit).
All they need is to serve subpoena to Reddit and they would be legally obliged to provide all info they collected about you (i.e. your name, mail address, your IP and other data they collect).

That was my first thought. Someone that knew something about him lost their job and there was not reason or fear to keep protecting him anymore.

I wonder if we should move to Reddit. A lot of posts get removed from here with no explanation. Might be nice to have some transparency, even if everyone has to use an Alt.
