Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

New Comp (Ripoff) Plan

Dell has changed, they are no longer the company we once knew and loved.

When a system shifts risk to employees, the experience changes and the job starts to su-k more.

Stress becomes structural, not situational

The math starts working against the us

Even big wins can feel diluted

Over time, effort and reward drift apart, and trust in the model breaks down.

Great sales organizations create environments where performance, ownership, and outcomes stay aligned. When that alignment exists, people do their best work.

We have to ask ourselves, are we doing our best work or just trying to survive a broken system?

Theres nothing to love about Dell other than a paycheck, just like any other job!
The company doesn't do anything exceptionally well even for its customers!

I made more money as a seller in the past 12m than I've ever made in my life. More than my managers, more than 90% of the other sellers in my segment. Why? Because the new plan actually acts like an incentive structure and not a gamified smokescreen for nepotism. Stop playing ping pong and sitting in teams chats s**t talking with your buddies - pick up the phone and dial. If that doesn't work for you, and I know this is harsh, but it's because you aren't good at your job and your time has come. I'm pitching my management on clearing seats and 3xing my targets because my productivity is already there. I'm more productive than the next three reps on my row - think about that. What system can sustain itself with that kind of untrimmed fat? If Dell fails it won't be because of what it's doing now, it will be because it didn't do this sooner.

The days of BMWs are long gone, replaced by robots and spreadsheets. What used to be a reward for building real relationships is now a math equation designed to keep you chasing.

That old Dell dream? Distant memory.
