I haven’t heard anything lately, and the Q3 report is fast approaching.

Hi
@g6 Unless they've changed it, severance is 3 weeks for each year of tenure with a max of 40 weeks. So anything beyond roughly 13 years is not covered. Though the long term 20 yr folks dis get lifetime Diacount cards, I'm not sure if they are still offering that. Some folks have said that is ending.
@ga You’re talking to someone actually affected this round. I didn’t bring up race, but I’m also not going to be quiet when people are being asinine. The fact is Dougie McMillion$, JDR, and most of Finance are in fact…not Indian. But somehow it’s an Indian’s fault I was RIFd?
You’re complicit with your “let’s all get along” bs. People are actively racist in this forum. And baby, a hit dog will holler.
I’ll see myself out.
I think you both have missed the fact this thread is about layoffs - people losing their jobs. It’s not about race, fat or skinny, tall or short, cute or ugly, etc.
@eh if it wasn’t race based, you’d keep the criticisms solely to leadership instead of blaming Indians. So sorry that you’re likely a mediocre white dude who’s had every privilege afforded to you and you’re still bitter about life lmao
@aa Normal pay until Feb 6 2026, considered the “job search” period. If you don’t find internal placement, final termination date is Feb 6 2026. Severance is 3wks for every year of tenure. Also, since termination date is after Jan 31, should remain eligible for FY26 bonus.
Obviously still not great being laid off, but I am glad this is the package going into the holidays.
@ax it’s not race based. It’s reality. Just walk around and look.
@ax it’s not, but this forum likes to be racist. :(
And that’s coming from a person who was actually impacted today, me. :)
@aa don’t have the package just yet but no, if I understood correctly, we will have until first week of February to find internal placement. But not certain until we got the package.
@an why is it race based? This heavily replenishment.
No big surprise here. It was very close to the end of the quarter and dumping employees reduces a ton of expense; not only salaries, but benefits, facilities, any RSUs that aren’t vested, etc.
This is Walmart. No loyalty to associates. No ethical leadership. Lots of Indian influence, though.
Is this true ? Where and which dp is affected?
@a8 was it immediate? Did they give you severance or are they allowing you time to find something else?
Home office happening today.
Just got laid off - was part of GTP in a tech ops role
I have no details at the moment, but can confirm that have heard from partners who have "been impacted" today.
