Nothing would get the company worked up more than multiple sites unionising at the same time. New union, not the one that got this sh-t contract.

Yall should have kept going. Red circled and less than a 10 cent COLA 😅 GE Aerospace doesn't not care about you 1bit. time to do a full walkout across all non union sites in rotating parts. GE is going the same direction as boeing. Time for a union.
@1yp remove the tiered pay scale to get more talented workers!!??? No way the union shops will ever let that happen, how else will they be able to get friends and family into the country club?
I am not in management but I believe salary employees receive percentage raises and not “lump sum” payments based on market based wages in their respective fields. Also some salary employees receive performance based bonuses on a yearly basis. So why the fuss over the hourly employees just to save a few bucks? Especially for a highly profitable company such as ours.
On another note, if you want to remain “competitive” , remove the tiered pay scale and try to attract more experienced and talented new hires. Everyone, including management, would be much happier. Keep it simple….
Greed. The most deadly of the seven sins. His day will come.
@140 Here is a follow up. Our "plant leader" sent out an email yesterday. In it he stated we need to be more competitive. He, of course, is a big fan of the ACP. In this email he also insinuated that he would like to go off pattern. So now the bully is not just happy with taking our lunch money. He also wants to determine who gets what on an individual basis by "merit ". All under the guise if being more competitive. On that note, did anyone see the earnings report this morning? There is plenty of lunch money for everyone!!!!
GE is as bad as Boeing.
@ga The workers at our facility do not believe at all that our plant manager fought for us. Just the opposite. He fought the 2 6% raises and told us we weren't getting them. This time we got the e-mail with the "real wage increases " at 7AM then had a people committee meeting at 9:30 telling us that was a mistake that everything, including colas, was going to be ACP. It didn't look like a mistake on the official handout. Several employees at our facility raised a stink outside of these walls and magically we get an email from HR and our plant leader that we had gotten approval for the first 5%. Mind you, until that point the only thing official we had received was the email with the pdf the company sent out. We are certain the local management fought against the "real wage increase". Also, so far we have no idea how much vacation we will actually get or how we will get the extra holiday.
Change that dirty GE diaper.

Sounds like the plant leaders of all these non union sites let corporate know that they messed up. They're going away from the market based wages for the 1st 5% and giving us the wage increase instead of the lump sums. Nice to know that we have some sort of representation, and it's actually our plant leaders
Teamster are the most militant union. You must be willing to fight and strike. If you have no backbone already they can't help ya. Maybe the UAW might be better for ya all.
We need the IAM union look at what they got Lockheed Martin on their current contracts. Way more than the IUE-CWA has ever gotten GE

@OP I would absolutely sign a Union Authorization Card if someone hands me one. All it takes is one person at the plant who’s Familiar with the process to get it going, getting a 30% vote in after that would be easy given the current mood after this news
@OP Teamsters maybe?
