I have had 3 people go absent long term as the were refused redunandy in the last round, they went sick 🤒🤒 and clearly relayed the were not satisfied. HR and my Dept kept paying them and no they receive insurance...will Intel man up and fire this burdens and set precedents, practical abuse from children throwing toys out of their pram.

@OP Stop discriminating against employee especially those with mental and/or physical disabilities. This is a tough phase. Period.

@dh Isn’t there an outside company that already does the due diligence on any short and long term disability claims?
It’s only gonna get worse. I heard they’re gonna outsource the ADA team who deal with accommodations so anything your doctor writes will go and HR won’t be able to do a darn thing about it.
Lip Bu will be stuck with a load of absent workers on the payroll. The changes he’s making are being done without professional consultation of the people lower down who understand the co sequences. And never have layoffs been done with such a lack of transparency or clarity. No respect or care for employees. Intel has become a toxic work environment with no attempt to ‘do the right thing’ like we did in the past. Anyone still left should look for a job elsewhere instead of sinking with this ship.
I had a manager that was "Out Sick" for over a year. Funny thing... nothing changed.
@OP nope we had someone leave last 3 mos in 2024. No passdowns. Just gone. They walked with their very nice package cause no one did anything. Infuriating

I don’t blame them. With the way Intel is handling this sh-tshow of a layoff anything employees do in response is justified.
