We had 108K employees at the turn of FY as per 10-K filing. If your 98.6K number is correct, it means almost 10K reduction in 2 quarters, so 1-2% cuts per qtr won't do it.
I personally know a team who lost more than 50% of its headcount in the last 3 months alone.
no way 20-40% - on here spreading BS! That would be 20-40K employees - That would trigger the WARN act and other wires. Expect the normal quarterly trim - 1-2%. The target number is 98,600 HC by 2H. 1-2% this quarter and next would get the HC close.
FWIW, I heard quite bit hits - 20% across the board with some groups 30%-40% - I guess we'll find out the real #s in 5 days :(
