Chandler Renovation Update

Who is this for? For 7 months employees in Building B will be shuffled around from zone to zone and given a "temporary swing space" with additional details being finalized. How about until you know where you want me to sit, I'll work from home. Where I don't have to wander from zone to zone looking for a free desk.

Btw if you're in Chandler and want to see what the end result will look like go into building D or E. Its a lot of fluff with smaller desks.

Speaking of nursing rooms, they should also have private rooms for men to take care of themselves.

They probably figured out that the only purpose for focus/huddle/nursing rooms, or anything else with a door, was to house an employee desperately looking for a real office instead of that open cube garbage that doesn't work.

I went to upstairs in building D (the building with the cafe) to see what the new seating plan would look like and they don't have huddle rooms (offices) any more. There's a couple of small focus rooms and a couple of conference rooms in the middle. Oh, and yeah, assigned seating was evident.

Not a fan.

Literally every time cpg says they are doing some kind of upgrade it's either a downgrade or a complete waste of money on something we didn't need or ask for. Meanwhile, specific areas where we desperately need funds that tell us it can wait a few more years. The new "spaces" that are built for us are absolute garbage and hinder employee attempts to actually get work done. They are there to waste money and justify cpg's existence.

it is 20 months of renovations. My bet is wide open seating where more people can fit before 5 day weeks come back in a few years. the floors were mostly empty so some days will be busy and others over lap for a short bit.

I don't get why they're doing this-- along with the courtyard construction and door closure. I suspect they're going to jam more cubes in the same space.

1st day on new temporary new floor and it seems pretty packed.
