Walnutport pa store is closing. They are hiring on sears.com's website for kmart walnutport store closing as of 6/11/20.

I live in ND. We all Know the store is closing already, but if anyone is interested, I asked them & they informed me Exact Date will be July 17. Not sure about Dates for the other closing stores........

Hamilton and Marshall live another day..... weird that those two in the middle of nowhere seem to be hanging on still.

There should be signs on those closing stores that they are not accepting new layaways. That's always a hint.

I'm searching frantically right now for those links. You are absolutely correct, Jack, that links must always be provided. I'll give them to you as soon as I find them! My wife and I are feverishly scouring the internet for any evidence we can find of those 5 US stores closing. If necessary, I'll dispatch a film crew to those locations and have the closing signs filmed and uploaded to YT, so I can then link them. I'm on this. We'll get it, stay calm.............

Strangely, there are not 32 total jobs available at all Kmarts, but the only closing ones listed, are still, NH & ND. None of the others are listed as "closing" yet.....maybe Tomorrow......hopefully. Can't wait!!

At some point, either there will be Store Closing positions posted on jobs.sears.com, or else ordinary people will start posting photos or videos of liquidation sales at these stores. Those will be the links.

There's not going to be any links. The directive is do not talk to the media, messages will come from Hoffman, and Hoffman isn't even answering the phone about unpaid bills.

1994. Kmart going out of business sale. I stumble across. Magnavox TVs manufacture date, 1985. Dirty old merchandise tables with sliding drawers. Radar detectors circa 1982. I realize then Kmart will cease to exist.

Albany NY suburbs, year 2000. I stop at a Kmart, massive on a hill massive parking lot. Windows are dirty. Middle of nowhere,, no nearby stores, just Kmart. I see yellow packaging, dirty store windows, dim lighting. Maybe 3 customers. I buy nothing.

The year is 2005, early summer I take a vacation to Florida. I layover in South Carolina. Its around 7:45pm I check into a hotel. Nearby there is a kmart. I go to take a look around for deals. Hulking massive store, big round vents. Flourescent lights humming, and I can hear them humming because I'm the only person in the place. I pick up some clearance vacuum filters from a dusty spray painted sidecounter. I head to automotive. I find two clearance oil filters that fit my old car. $.49. Copyright 1978. Not that uncommon a size either. I buy them to put them out of their languishing misery.

2009, somewhere near Buffalo NY find a Kmart with an old style sign. Its about 40 minutes to close. Half the lights are off. I wander around clearance tables, yellowing cologne giftsets. Its maybe 8:30 10 minutes later the employees start lining up at the door waiting to leave. I am the only customer holding up the exodus.

Eventually the lights will turn off at all Kmarts and it was probably 30 years overdue.

Ramona Kmart is calling furloughed employees asking if they want to work during liquidation.

You may want to consider marking the remaining eight Seritage-owned stores on your list, perhaps with a symbol such a–". The Seritage stores are:

California: Big Bear Lake, McKinleyville, Ramona
Maryland: Edgewater
Pennsylvania: Columbia, Walnutport
Puerto Rico: Bayamon, Mayaguez

And NO, Brooklyn will not be included because it's a Sears not a Kmart.

My map only includes the US-based Kmarts anyway, so for now, no change to it as I haven't included the PR stores. When anyone finds the link to the other 5 US-based stores closing, please let me Know so I will fix the map, then. Here it is for now:
