Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Such lack of direction and leadership!

Does anyone actually feel supported by their leadership? There is so much mixed messaging and lack of support and direction from leadership it’s ridiculous. It’s feels impossible to effectively do your job anymore and it’s just getting worse. Leadership is so out of touch!

@1sa+1k27yrd2v - you clearly must be in one of the “support” groups that has nothing to do with actual execution of the work or the group that develops all this so called communication for “leadership” if you think monthly or quarterly rotating emails from a different VP or Director, a SOAP, or pretty power point presentations is direction and leadership!! It takes more to successfully lead an organization than pretty power point presentations developed by a group that doesn’t even understand the work and a bunch of KPI!

@fr I am surprised by this, if there is no lack of direction in Projects you aren’t reading your email at the start of the year when strategy is communicated like clock work. You can’t change the ignorant I suppose. I see a relentless focus by my leadership on achieving what is on the one-page strategy document that is refreshed every year. Sorry that your leader isn’t engaged I suppose or a poor communicator.

The lack of direction is at an all time low. I had to rate leadership as decent so I didn't get flagged on the "anonymous" survey. They are probably enjoying their LTIP after the stock price surging.

People put into supervisor, management and engineering positions anymore are simply so out of touch it’s ridiculous to even be able to find common sense.
There in the workplace in that position mostly due to gender, race, etc.
Maybe someone in HR ideology thinking but rarely idealistic for the job.
Part of the slow process to company failure.
