It's clear there are posters who are eager and excited about rumors of a layoff. I would say 90% of the posts are of that nature. So would employees who dread a layoff really be posting all this negativity. I doubt it. These fear mongers are probably just ex-employees or Qualcomm haters.

OP, you are right. This has become like Dussehra or Durga puja festival. Throngs of people waiting in anticipation and excitement. The same will be filled with nostalgia once the layoffs are completed and fill this website with posts again.
Those who are genuinely worried about being affected are using the advance notice to apply for jobs and at least attempt to have some interviews lined up.
For longest time we had Broadcom troll, but I think they got scared with the new acquisition that their own jobs could be on the line.
That people just don’t care is disgusting. Everyone has family who rely on them. And there were a lot of sacrifices made to get where we are in Qualcomm, both personal and by family. That none of these sacrifices means anything now is hard to stomach. We just have to remember we are the cutting edge, the elite, and we will continue on in our careers.

Let me say that I don't work at QC but I am an investor but please hear me out. I don't have the kind of intelligence or work ethic to compete in reality and I have great respect.
I want to express my profound admiration and thanks for those of you giving it your all and sacrificing your lives and futures for QC because it is more than a company. It is a purpose. One that will pay off surely in heaven or on earth. People who do things outside of QC should be frowned upon because they have no understanding of real estate or making money and need to focus on working harder and creating more success for us to share in. Not being distracted with vacations and certainly not parties and the like.
I invest to provide jobs and sometimes lose money and while I have made a lot you should be informed that it isn't always easy. In fact I would take your life above my own any time. We may have a few more layoffs and if the right people are left to work a few more hours a week, maybe like 80, then there is more of a chance for all of us working together for our mutual success.
Work harder and while some may fail in whatever circumstance you are the winners. You must do this! Never quit and have no mercy for the weak as they are not QC material.
Those of you know me and see me on my yacht please don't ask for a ride. You don't have time if you are seriously dedicated and it shows a lack of interest in your job.
What I have been saying. Most think it is funny because they were not QC material. They don't know the right people and don't have the market skills
