Thread regarding Ford layoffs

ESS from Ford

OMG. Ford is testing Energy storage system that Tesla implemented in 2012. Ford said that no one in the industry is doing this, so it's a lie. Well, I hope this will help Ford to make some money. Let's see if it's going to burn down any houses.

@fp Remind me why we need this again? Is it "just in case" my Generac works great and is cheap in comparison to this nonsense.

China already have the ESS launched. Ford is 5 years behind the competitors from China.

If customer demand for BEVs is dropping it makes sense to expand to other adjacent markets to offload excess inventory or satisfy supplier contract obligations. My concern is the profitability will not be there because of existing incumbents. Ultimately leading to more NRE than profits. Trying to save face once again.

In 2 years Ford will recall the ESS because of fire and burning down many homes. 😂

Awesome! Ford will not let not sell you a POS vehicle, but they will now try to burn your house down as well! Ford really is the better idea 💡 people!

Ford is going to use LFP batteries from Marshall plant to produce the ESS. This is a great idea, but it will not be launched for another 2 years. The batteries from BOSK in KY and TN are going no where.

Most people in the US already have the system installed by Tesla for years.
