@qz Thank you! It's an evacuation, not a retirement though. I'm excited about the opportunity I am lining up.

@nx They probably didn't have a choice. Most people I know who accepted wanted to be released as soon as possible.

@ce, someone enlighten me on why VSP would stick around till 2026? Aren't they leaving before the end of the year?

I know plenty of folks who took the VSP and they won't be around in 2026.

Thank you

@fa ha...picky in this job market? Be careful what you wish for.

@fp That's not how protected leave like FMLA works. Unless the paperwork to fire you was complete before the leave, terminating someone returning from FMLA is legally suspect. Working hard when one does return, however, is non-negotiable.

@ce I am and will take advantage of the paycheck and benefits as well as the opportunity to find a good job. This will allow me to build some skills and be picky in my job search.

General question if anyone knows - if we are told we get ISP - could we be distraught/mental health distress and take personal leave for the 60 days, especially if we have sick time or personal time left?

@ce It makes sense if you don't want to take the tax hit this year.

@a2 If you have sick time consider taking a break for mental health. STD kicks in after 30 days. These days 30-60 days for that reason is not unheard of. You don't even have to give details about why you're taking leave.

@ce It might make sense if those are the associates eligible for Rule of 70. If I were calling the shots the leaders would go first followed.

Are some VSP employees really hanging around until 2026?! Cruel move by PP.

Congratulations!

Everyday I walk into the office I'm miserable.... I'm trying to figure out my options. My mental health is taking a toll on me.

I'm seeking happiness away from the firm as I'm not wanting to wait around the next 2 yrs.....
