Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Guilty by settlement

This has been 7 long years of fighting and yes bullying from Nike. Fight, deny and intimidate. Thank you Oregonlive.com for fighting for the public’s rights! Thank you to the women who brought the lawsuit - we all win when we speak truth to power. Thank you EH - I’ve been waiting (hoping) Nike would do the right thing for quite a while now. We loved the brand too.

oregonlive said the settlement saved EH the nightmare lawsuit. EH has enough on his hands to save biz.
EH can use this opportunity to better the environment from toxic leaders for the employees that are still suffering today.
This is a toxic culture situation destroying Nike's good employees, company morale at the hands of few bad managers who protect other bad managers and cause fear and conformism.

Will EH take this up ? One can only hope.

Settlement is just another dead body or bodies under the rug..
There have been so many since this 2018 which made the headlines for 7 years, which no one may have heard or will ever hear.

Unless there is real change in leadership and transparency , this will continue and we will read and comment on forums, but will the problem ever be resolved ?
Will there ever be real change ?

#MeToo destroyed Nike from within. Now the company is a hollow shell of its former self.

Nike bet the house on being woke over edgy and lost big. Still seems reluctant to fully acknowledge this and cut its losses.

@a3+1jm02m31e This is quite possibly the worst take ever. Ever ever.

While this may have been positive news for these women who were treated unfairly, I think Nike overreacted to a few bad actors, unintentionally creating a workplace where employees constantly fear saying or doing anything that could be perceived as aggressive. People are constantly walking on eggshells now, and as a result, truly meaningful work no longer gets done. Honest, direct and constructive dialogue no longer takes place. The high-performance culture that once defined the company has completely evaporated.
