People that were laid off are not replaced by AI. They are being replaced by outsourcing because you can hire 15 of those people for the cost of one salary here. President Biden gives these corporate companies big tax breaks due to this. It is what it is. You see what happened to CVS at now when a woman ran it can you imagine this country if a woman runs it?

That's not how it all works.
You can't get anywhere near 2 billion in savings with 3k job eliminations. Pricing might get a quarter of that to half of it but the rest will need to come from jobs. I would guess another 3-5k next year.

Layoffs may come but no one knows facts now so don’t believe these numbers.
These posts are more of a speculation guys. nothing is concrete. we are done with layoffs for now. again, if the results wont improve then the obvious layoff bug will spread around.
Can’t confirm the number of impacted but VP+ have been asked to keep their lists ready and have been given indications that unless future financial results improve and lift stock price, CVS will continue on the path of efficiency. These hits are likely for Q1 2025 but can happen sooner.
Have heard VPs alluding to this in a couple of departments now.

They have to cut 2 billion so there will be more layoffs in 2025. I don’t think they can cut back anymore hours in retail so it’ll be corporate.
That’s not true. It’s more like 4 times as much. There will be 32,000 layoffs in 2025. They have already budgeted for it.
