If you have your own PGP public key, you can also encrypt your public key using my public key and send it to me. That way, I’ll be the only one who can read and import your key, and we can communicate securely both ways.

If you provide your public key (instead of just encrypting a message with contact info), please also share a profile or contact detail for a second channel that includes your public key’s fingerprint. This helps me verify that you are indeed the real holder of the public key. Make sure you don't send the profile / contact detail in plaintext, include it in the encrypted message. Fingerprint can be plain-text on the second channel. Since your public key (and contact details) will be encrypted with my public key before sending, only I can decrypt it, preventing others from learning your key or even matching it to your fingerprint on the second channel. For your operations security, make sure the timing and metadata from encryption, fingerprint drop, and comment are not all at the same time. If you’re skeptical about my identity and want to also show me that you know who I am, you can verify me using a double encryption process. I won't be dropping a fingerprint like you, but it will be just as secure. Find my official public key (which is accessible online, personally identifiable, and trusted). This key doesn't have a backlink DIRECTLY to a personally identifiable account, but you can find the key verifiable of ownership through an account. First, encrypt your message with that official public key. Then, encrypt the resulting encrypted message again using the PGP key I shared here. The annual rankings were based primarily on survey responses from more than 217,000 employees working at companies within the U.S. that employ more than 1,000 people. The organizations were stratified so that companies with 1,000 to 5,000 employees were deemed midsize, while companies with more than 5,000 employees were considered large employers.

Survey respondents (who remained anonymous so they could answer freely) were asked if they would recommend their employer to others and to rate it based on a range of criteria, including salary, work environment, training programs and opportunities to advance. Participants were also asked if they would recommend their previous employers (within the past two years) and the employers they knew through their industry experience or through friends or family who worked there.
The responses were tallied and analyzed along with additional survey data from the last three years, which allowed for a robust assessment of organizations that consistently ranked well versus those that may have had just one good year. The more recent data and the evaluations from current employees were weighted more heavily than others.
Ultimately, each employer was given a score, and the 1,199 organizations with the highest scores landed on one of our two final lists—498 companies on America’s Best Midsize Employers 2025, and 701 organizations on America’s Best Large Employers 2025. A select group of 77 employers (including Google, Trader Joe’s, Costco, Nike, Ford and the Mayo Clinic) also distinguished themselves by making America’s Best Employer lists for all ten editions.

If Ford is on the list, you know damn well this is the list of companies to avoid!

I came to interview at Ford over 30 years ago at the R&E center and even then I thought to myself that the buildings were a little dated. Got processed in Building #3 back in the day. Building #2 got built in 1995 and was considered the modern building. Worked there on 3rd floor in a cube next to a window overseeing at the time what was called DPG.

What kind of tour at PDC would leave a lasting impression on an inspiring FCG to come to work here? “Look at these cool desks that raise and lower where you are shoulder to shoulder with your colleagues in an area that used to be an aisle to get to the real desks. Make sure to get in by 8:00 or you will walk two clicks from your car to your building. Try to find your colleagues with the musical desks every morning in a day to day Easter egg hunt. Private conversations? Yeah, you need to step out in the parking lot for that”

If I knew then what I know now, I would have never accepted the offer to work at Ford. I had some cr-ppy jobs over the years, but for a company of this size, Ford is among the worst because of the level of mismanagement and cronyism.
