Everything has gone very quiet even in the office regarding closure. Noone is mentioning it anymore.... have people been advised not to or do people not believe that it's happening
All BNY Mellon signage has been removed from the IDA signs outside the building on the drive in...
I heard it's only Corp Trust that will be going. All other functions to stay. Not sure how true this is
It will all stay silent now until february/march
The omerta continues
People are anxious to know what the story is with the place..rumours swirling constantly but yet nothing has been confirmed (or denied...possibly more telling) publicly by any top people in the office or external to the wexford office.
Wouldn’t rule out them being told why and when something needs done by. Not beyond the realms of passibility. Staff are the last to know as usual
I highly doubt when the tradesmen are being hired they are being told its to get it ready for sale...im sure they are hired just to do x y z job. Why would they tell them the reason they want the job done? I think this is just someone chancing their arm saying the building is sold and see what it stirs up
@fmj+1w0MjRYd brilliant!
So basically CBRE, electricians, and all other trademen who have been drilling and making racket in the office over the last year know what's going on!
Anyone seen that CT chap since he visited the CT teams a couple of months ago?
I spoke to people socially in Wexford over the weekend and non-BNY people know more about the sale as they have either worked in the building recently and know the purpose of what they are doing or know someone who has. No news on tenancy after the Q1 conclusion date
This seems credible - what were all the upgrades for over the last few months?
Great engagement from country and site heads.
Something tells me more people in Wexford know the plan than let on, probably just trying to keep the lid on things to ensure they get rewarded.
@hsw+1w0MjRYd I don't recall seeing an announcement of building closure/sale before. The location I worked in was sold and nothing was announced.
Methinks this be mullarkey. Where is the news? Its not even announced in company and org. news?
Very hard to believe this. Cant even imagine what business in wexford would need a building of this capacity when there are so many vacant businesses around. More rumours no doubt
Very nice of BNY to keep Wexford staff so well informed.... #staycurious
Not sure who. Apparently a Feb/March handover
To who? The office next door is mostly empty and has been only partly occupied for years. I don't see where the market is for such a sale in the town.
