Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

CEO 14.3% pay increase in 2023?

In a year when the employees were told that there were no pay increases the CEO received a 14.3% increase? I cannot imagine that will go over well. It’s all in the recently released proxy statement.

Titanic indeed. Nice bonus to keep the 1st class afloat in these times of high inflation while the workers on the ground aka steerage passengers got no bonuses worth talking about.
Let this ship sink!!

How awful to think poor Chucky boy was underpaid. Times must have been real tough for him.

It's working out well because they're allowing the best people to leave. Zero attempts to try retain them because they don't have the money anyway, plus little else to tempt them with. Even for upper management to get an increase, that means layoffs somewhere on the low levels.

Anyone with anything about them, they are all going. Those who I know who have left, they've all gone of their own accord. They've taken control of the situation and as for staying, it has been non-negotiable anyway. This speaks volumes.

I was told that the reason I was laid off was that I made too much money although my salary was WAY below CT’s 14.3%

I didn’t believe until I read for myself. From the Proxy page 11: “Base salary for Mr. Treadway was increased by 14.3% to bring it more in line with the median salary of our peer group”

And page 58:

2022 Base Salary $1,137,401
2023 Base Salary $1,300,000

An increase of $162,599

I have to believe that increase is far more than the total income of most of the workers that got 0% pay increases last year. Makes you think.

If it’s upto them, they can ask non manager employees to work for free.
