Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

End of an Era!

I’ve seen this one before, it’s a classic. The bad guys win, the good guys are out on their ear and the ship sinks anyway.

@fcc as someone who is a VP, I can assure you we have no insight or status at this company and are treated as temp employees at best - we’re all treading water here.

Not everyone who stays is bad, not everyone who leaves is good.

People need to stop with these over generalizations. You’re pi---d off at the wrong people. The people who stay aren’t all conniving. Most are trying to keep afloat and just happened to not get fired this time. Being mad at your coworkers who had no say in the matter isn’t helping anyone.

Don't expect IBEW 1212 to walk out in unity - they are the biggest cowards - never stood on a picket line - just let CBS proceed to whittle down the company

I would love to see everyone below SVP, VP, CEO, CFO and possibly director just walk out in solidarity, who will do the real work? Not them, they'll just be balancing their fat check books, making hair appointments or buying their new car or claiming expenses! It's always the rich get richer and the poor don't stand a chance whether you are spared this round or not!

An absolute ton of good people are going to be laid off tomorrow for no reason except poor management. And the conniving people will remain. I think those posting have a right to be punchy, and angry.

Lack of empathy???? Where's the empathy from leadership? We had TR, man who owns a vacation home with a 100 car garage, tell us he's struggling with the uncertainty (news flash, he won't need to worry where his next meal will come from) and we have CMc telling people on a Town Hall that those laid off will be "better off in their careers", so excuse some of us for being fed up with this sh-t. We are literally watching the rich get richer right in front of our very own eyes.

Is there a full moon, tonight? It seems like all the workplace predators and bitter tribalist "teams", speaking of bad guys, are active in the threads. This layoff is really bringing out the dark-hearted, psychotic, and the garden variety unhinged. The lack of empathy toward others is really sick.
