- Intel will be split into 2 companies.
- Product company will be acquired by BRCM who will only retain Client/Server/NEX business and related engineering teams (IP, SoC including X86 core). All other non-revenue generating businesses sold.
- Altera will be sold to Lattice or Marvell.
- Mobileye will be completely divested.
- Intel Foundry will become known as "Intel", a pure-play dedicated foundry company. Its only customer will be the Product group sold to BRCM because of a binding agreement for 2 years.
- Intel Foundry will struggle to productize 18A and any of the supposedly leading edge packaging technologies. It will be 2027 before 18A is production ready.
- All old Intel fabs producing 10nm and older nodes and all other fabs like NM, Ireland and others will be sold for pennies on the dollar (no buyers want these old fabs).
- Intel's new node fabs intel 3 and newer will be sold to a new entity created under the majority ownership of US Govt with minority ownership and day-to-day management by TSMC North America (a subsidiary of TSMC Taiwan).
- "Intel" will thus eventually be owned by TSMC.
