We had a target of less than 100k last year, that seems to have dropped to 90k this year
Anyone have a new expected number ?

@f6 There are ways to pull reports internally. I was on a con-call a month ago & someone shared the info (102K) at the time of End of June.
80k have been the target for 3 years. I'd guess the real target is lower as long as you are ALL IN!
People are speculating on employee numbers with such confidence. What are you basing your guesstimate on? You've heard something? This seems to be the number? LOL
Don’t know where it’s at now… seems sort of a secret. But I’ve heard end of FY is 80kbut that’s the high bar. End of Q1 fy27 is 55k so anticipate teams doing most of the work this fy so to avoid that huge Q1carnage. It’s all about eps and open sisters and brothers

I recently spoke with an Nvidia employee and was surprised to hear they have only 26,000 employees.
Last year the rumors I had heard were 87K. Just like everything Dell does though, I am sure the goal post shifted to some other number.
End goal is to have less than 60k
As per filings:
End of FY23 - 133k
End of FY24 - 120k
End of FY25 - 108k
By May 2025 (Tell Dell) - 102k
With recent layoffs, it should be around 100k mark now. Not sure what the target is, but it will definitely go further down during rest of FY26 and FY27.

Remember that we hired 7500 new people last year too. We didn't just lay people off and we are hiring now.

Go to the SEC website. Look up Dell 10-K. You will see the 10-K documents for the last several years. They are published at the beginning of each year. Look for the word employee. This is the only real way to see realistic numbers. The rest is speculation because I don't think the company posts these values on their own.
