The date is Thursday 1/23... managers with direct reports who are going to be impacted, have been invited to a training today to get further instruction. My team is being reduced by 20%.

What time and what was the title of the meeting? Current leaders are breadcrumbing and I noticed several staffing meetings on the managers calendar.

Just breathe and apply for jobs outside of United and Optum. Just breathe and realize they don't give a F about you and what you've done for 2 years or 25. Just breathe and get off the hamster wheel. Don't be fooled by the tactics of Executive level twats(VPs and north). They think they're doing you a favor by initiating the redeployment team which is utterly worthless. These people are unable to help you find an internal job. What a joke and we all know this team is simply here so UHG can say they are helping people they've rifted. Finding an internal job is also a joke. Don't be fooled. The recruiters are mostly nice, but they have zero influence on hiring managers if you even get an interview. Internal managers are promoting their team members. Breathe and run as fast as you can to a company that respects their employees, isn't looking to offshore every job, and isn't about buying business. How about Witty and the other geniuses come up with some innovative ideas....oh yeah, they are not capable. Tony Miller is one example of an innovator (ie. Definity Health, Carol, and Bind aka Surest). He's made a fortune from these transactions with UHC. Tread lightly and do a deep dive when researching start up companies before you hit submit on that job app. If United is a client and if it saves them money or grows their membership they're buying that company and you. Yes, you and your soul. So breathe and don't get bought by the "Sir" and run as fast as you can to the hills. My apologies to the person that started this thread because I know you're heart is in the right place and you are encouraging positivity. Not everyone can feel that way right now with the precarious situation we are in looking for jobs with 100-200 others looking at the same job. Keep breathing....and move on to better things. Prayers to all of us on this site that have been laid off or waiting to be laid off. Best of luck in your search or retirement if you're able!
