Return To Office Abuse Fix!

How can there be this many slackers still taking advantage of wfh? I hope the next series of cuts is purely for those that are not following policy. If management is serious about RTO, they should use their data to cleanly broom the folks that are not doing their part at this point and send a message. These cuts are long overdue. All of you real estate agents, photographers, off the books carpenters, and slackers in general could go and Ford would not miss a beat.

Everybody knows the abusers in their area - I personally like the analyst in our area that lives in a multi-million dollar house on the lake and comes into the office 2 days a week - Hey, she has a successful photography business to run!

For the most part I have found that the majority of the people who perform no discernible real work are providing a service to management that you are not aware of. Weak management loves having information gatherers and rumor spreaders.

Once you see the pattern you can disrupt it. There was a female LL6 who would monitor all the shared document and code sites that everyone was required to use. She would then run and report anything and everything the rest of the team and adjacent teams were working on claiming the best bits as her own. The LL5 she was reporting to would use the info to sabotage the other LL5s efforts. We started posting fake projects and fake research papers. When we heard she had taken the bait and her friend LL5 was kicking up dirt with the LL4, we deleted all the fake doc and the backups. Our LL5 knew nothing about it and the LL4 believed him when he said he would never work on such asine projects. The snake LL5 threw the LL6 under the bus. She quickly found another LL6 position with the help of a family member who is a LL3. Now she is providing services to another LL5.

Welcome to the Ford circus.

@g8 That's the realization I came to. All the complainers on here are the low performance people afraid of layoffs or here to blow off their anxiety about low performance via trolling.

@g8 Some of us have toxic coworkers; that said I mostly blame management for what happens. Failure to manage a toxic employees is worse than the toxic person because you really can't tell when some of them are just nasty people or really troubled.

Absolutely love people coming on here to complain about their fellow coworkers instead of management that seemingly is too incompetent to tell that these people aren't getting any work done.

Unless they are getting their work done... but no, couldn't be!!! They're not even in the office!

Slackers lol. WFH has been amazing for regulation of my autism and not having to drain so much energy tuning out the office disruption.

Even in the days of assigned seating I would often work from a different building / different location in my assigned building? Why? sometimes because I had meetings in other buildings that day and wanted to not waste time traveling during the day. But mostly it was to get away from a couple of toxic coworkers who were always stirring the pot. One woman kept a spreadsheet on how often I was at my desk and complained to my LL5 that I was never working. I had proactively inoculated myself by telling my LL5 how much I loved having a laptop over a desktop as it allowed me to optimize my work time and to sit close to whatever team I was helping that day, and I made sure to be seen by the LL5 doing just that.

Yes there are abusers, but they existed pre-WFH. We had a guy running his restaurants from his cube. Loved hearing him dressing down his wait staff on the company dime.

Wow, you seem jealous. I'll bet you're angrey because you're not getting the latest gossip. How do you know they're not working in another building?

The real abuse is when you’re forced to be in close proximity to weirdos. I feel like a dog being held by the collar while another dog is allowed to sniff my a-s. When you move, they snap sometimes.

And thank God you are out here defending corporate interests! Where other people work is certainly a great topic for you to invest in and I'm sure that your sychophantic tendencies are noticed by "leadership".

Who knows, you might even get to lick two boots someday...
