Get your resume up to date, get it shipped around and get the he-l out, more layoffs are happening and you should get your details out there first before everywhere is flooded by the poor sobs who have been booted from the ship. Tech and Risk are both being hit, which given they are pushing AI and are being audited on Risk and fined left and right for data quality is typical corporate culture. Trouble is they get rid of the people who actually know what they are doing and keep the yes men/women who don’t question management strategy. Look forward to the fall of Rome when it happens!

Network outside of your team and talk to others about their roles too see if you'd be interested in there work. People love to talk about themselves and their position. It can give you some info and create a connection. Sharpen the saw as they say (meaning skill up). I know so many people who moved around within the company. It's possible to move. However, I heard it's not always easy.

@126+1k1tfjbta It seems like you have nothing of value contribute to conversation except spelling and grammatical criticism. You are a perfect example of what's wrong with many people @ C!+i. You focus on the wrong things and think it is insightful or funny. Someone asked a question about staying or going and you focus on the typos.

Classic C!+i behavior is to call people "defensive" when they call others out on things or stick up for themselves or others. It is deflection and lack of emotional intelligence at its finest.

Don't be one of the many bullies at this company. There are enough bullies there and then some!! We don't need the toxicity here too. Thanks for not being "childish" from this point forward!

“Losing” loved ones. Come on people. It’s not a typo. You don’t know the difference and I’m trying to help you learn. It’s not picking on anyone. Stop being so defensive…it’s a childish quality.

@gb lol, assuming you are being facetious, either way, no recruiter here, just someone who's worked in the good and bad of corporate America and various economies for 25 years offering some hindsight. Toss in personal struggles, loosing loved ones over the years and you quickly get perspective. Life indeed is to short to stay unhappy, taking action is the first step.

Thank you @mh+1k1tfjbta we all know typos happen and people from other countries. Not helpful. Those of you who pick on others are no better than the su-ky toxic management. Why don't you submit some helpful advice or go troll somewhere else since you are perfect and all. Smh.

“Losing”.

Lose= misplaced, opposite of win

Loose= opposite of tight, ie: pants, women

You sound like a recruiter. Citi is awesome. It’s the place to be. Innovative, exciting, cutting edge, always takes care of their employees with stellar raises and bonus’s and fantastic opportunities. I can’t fathom working anywhere else.

Move externally dont get trapped in Citi.

Start looking for something external now while you are employed at Citi. Life is too short to give your years to a place like this, Citi is the most archaic place I've ever worked. Yes the job market is not great right now, but there's rarely a perfect and easy time to switch jobs. Take control of your destiny and make it happen - I did, and the tech market I'm in is the worst! You can do it, too.

@am External market has been bad for many years, with this mindset, we will never leave citi, which probably is what the market wants. Everyone stays in the same company because the outside world is too scary.

Move internally as the external market isn't the best right now. Find something internal, hopefully with someone who may know you.. Even if it's a lateral move. Will help you get away from a toxic boss. And then bide your time for something external to work out once the market improves

Re-orgs will keep happening while companies absorb new technologies. It happens everywhere, not just Citi. The best thing to do is to prepare for it, as the question is not if but when.
