Thread regarding Phillips 66 layoffs

Glassdoor CEO Rankings

While not totally indicative, Glassdoor rankings of CEOs are used by Elliott and others in assessing how real employees feel about CEOs and their performance. Looking at Glassdoor, here is how Phillips 66 stacks up in the industry regarding approval rating, senior management rating, and the other number is would employees recommend to a friend:

CEO approval rating / Senior Management Rating (out of 5) / Would Recommend Company to a Friend (%)

Phillips: 56% / 2.8 / 63%
Valero: 71% / 3.6 / 80%
Marathon: 77% / 3.5 / 76%
PBF: 50% / 3.0 / 60%
HollyFrontier: 77% / 2.8 / 61%
Enterprise Products: 83% / 3.6 / 75%
Williams: 85% / 3.2 / 66%
Targa: 87% / 3.8 / 75%
LyondellBasell: 60% / 3.2 / 66%
Dow: 67% / 3.4 / 73%

Notice anything? PSX is PBF and HollyFrontier. Let’s stop pretending.

@ez so true. No, they don’t care. You are right. In the end, best to just leave so it stops bothering me.

It is depressing, but do you really think the c-suite cares anymore? Loyal employees who worked hard for the company (and even some of their family members before them!) have been pushed out, passed over for leadership roles by snake oil salesmen, or left for greener pastures. Unfortunately so much of the executive team are out of touch with reality and their workforce; but what does it matter? They can stall for a few years, resign, and will have built generational wealth for their families.. while we wait for a lottery ticket on vcip day and debate biased ratings on a job board. I despise it AND that feels like the reality at psx for a while now. Once a great company that emboldened their employees and was a source of pride so many is a shell of itself, with a bleak future in a fast-changing world. Have to bail; shareholders to appease and work to be done.. so my supervisor can take credit!

The Williams CEO is almost a year in (installed to position July 2025) but if you're in IT, watch out for that CIO/CTO. That leopard does not change.

Depressing. Starting to worry about the impact it is having on my reputation in the market

We certainly earned it through the elimination of thousands of roles, the promotion of baf00ns and the destruction of culture
