Thread regarding 2U Inc. layoffs

Don't Answer the Suverys

They want to see who all is drinking the kool-aid with the new re-org, and who all needs to be kept on a list for next time. Don't give them anything they can use against you.

Post ID: @gkpm+1pfcoBi, you go right ahead and share your life changing 2UBoo and Dei summit experiences, via survey. While you're at it, complete the survey that asks about the life changing coffee you prefer to drink when @ HQ, or the fun experience you have when taking a break at the water cooler....take all of the life changing, bubble gum surveys you want, if You think they'll be useful!

The problem is, as you well know, that there are so many surveys inserted throughout that are Not bubble gum, that are Not designed (nor used towards) to help the organization become better or stronger.

They are simply designed for "leadership" to take a pulse, and from that pulse determine (according to the specific - identifiable individuals who are not drinking the cool aid) --who gets released!

And if you - Post ID: @gkpm+1pfcoBis -are in a leadership role, take a break from following these chats just long enough to Work at trying to prevent all of the other schools from fleeing like the Ma$$ive account of USC has done.

Preventing That would fall more into the "life changing event" category!

And the DEI Summit surveys! I had an amazing, life-changing experience at the summit, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to share my feelings via a survey! What if the survey results are used to support other life-changing events? How would I feel supporting others toward having the same great experience I had?

+2, I know...right?!
I don't want to feel pressured into lying time and time again about "how fun" 2UBoo is, when we all know how lame it is year in and year out -just to keep my job!

I know! I got all those surveys around the 2U Boo events. I had a great time, but my enjoyment is none of their business. I don’t want “Big Data” knowing what I enjoy so they can provide me with more stuff I might enjoy. How dare they ask if I had fun? MY FUN IS MY BUSINESS!”

A company has every right to access and utilize any and all data @ their issued equipment and tech. No company really deserves their employees' honest feedback, because they always have the ability to leverage against you.

2u, however, is the poster child of 'never, ever give them the opportunity to know you - they will exploit you!

If having certain deeper insights was that important to them (because they actually wanted to meaningfully change), they'd establish a fool proof anonymous system ( like a locked drop box--where surveys that their employees typed and printed on their own equipment could be left).

Something like that is what a win/win would look like. Don't be fooled!

100% true. I was open and honest in each and every feedback survey and was on the layoff list despite consistently being told I was necessary and going above and beyond for almost no pay. "Be candid, honest and open," my a--.

I have to say that right before the recent layoffs they kept pushing a pulse survey. I took it and was honest. I am part of the recent layoff group, and it came to mind if the survey had anything to do with it.

Please listen to poster's (1pfcoBis) advice!
Any company knows exactly who is speaking through the surveys, even when they claim it to be anonymous input.

Either way, it will be held against you if you provide honest feedback!
