Did you ever think about all the pressure being put on those people?! Being the grandson of Ford?! don't you think those people must go above and beyond to prove themselves and live up to the Ford legacy.
I have a great respect to all the Ford Family and what they've done to preserve the company during the difficult times.
Yrs ago, HF3 was told by the family he would take over the reins of the company someday because he was a namesake and the family could say generation after generation have managed FoMoCo. HF3 wasn't too happy. So even though he's been educated / has the same name that's on the bldg - I feel sorry for him to be used like that. I wonder what he'd say if someone asked him what did he really want to do with his life. I bet the answer would surprise most.
@exk+14YtGYJU regarding Henry Ford II, I could get behind someone like that. The milk toast like Bill, and Jim^2 are unmotivating. Like listening to that boring a– professor you had in college, half the lecture hall is asleep. Maybe a version of Henry Ford for the modern times, on wait that's Elon Musk. Senior management is so polished/sterile; they are calculating every word they say so they are not accountable. If you had no voice or face and read their words, you could not tell any of them apart. I like someone that can look at a POS and call it like it is. Anyone notice how they kept fluffing up mobility in the last huddle? Give me a break. Most downtown areas are closed. Jim with his football references again, is that supposed to impress me?
@tyv+14YtGYJU The family lineage running the family is the problem. Yes, HFII saved the company after the war, but he also did a lot of damage to it in his later years. There's a famous story about him getting into a disagreement with Lee Iacocca. HFII took Lee outside of WHQ, pointed to the sign at the top and yelled "THAT'S MY f—ng NAME AT THE TOP, NOT YOURS!" Ford is one of the largest and most complex manufacturers in the world and its ridiculous to leave the fate of the company in the hands of the boy princes and princesses of the Ford family just because they were born with the last name.

Ready for the downvotes, by why the hate on Henry Ford III? He is the grandson of Henry Ford II who ran Ford when it was force to be reckoned with. The William Clay lineage has pretty much had the run of the place since Henry Ford II passed. Time to give another branch of the family tree a shot. Get him scotch on the rocks, a cigar, some trim, he can be like his Grandpa.
