That's what I've been doing for the last few months and my mental health has improved dramatically. Trying to do the work of three people was ki-ling me. I'm done with that. If they want to lay me off for this, fine. I'll take my severance and make sure that my next company doesn't have completely unrealistic expectations about what's expected from me, as Dell does.

It's really the 10+ year Dell middle management and VPs. They hang out on this site all weekend and every holiday down voting. The innovation that keeps the company so profitable.

@ews+1truiKQ6, when our family and friends are ruthlessly cut and they promise to get leaner in the future while continually hiring through out the layoffs... replacing the laid off woth 20 something year Olds getting paid dirt cheap, what kind of team is that?? I find that disgusting!

The Dell veterans are leading the AI charge. They spend their time innovating non stop. They don't know how to sleep. Up at 4am creating the largest comprehensive AI libraries. They go to sleep at 12am when their fingers and large brains are exhausted from a long days work. They dream about coding while sleeping. Dell has the most talented innovators in all of human history.
The threat of no promotion was such a joke. 99% will never be promoted. Would have been better off offering a free scratch off lottery ticket to volunteer for rto
