remember your heathcare benefit is worth at least $2000 a month, that's a chunk of change

They need to just match a straight 6% like other companies

Log into Merrill and it's right there in your face.

Just remember if Frank was still here, it would be 2% and the rest would go to making him look popular on TV. E.g. giving back to small businesses, putting him on CNBC, etc.

@OP I called Merrill and they said that the new match is applicable for everyone but the management committee members. Prior to this SVPs were not eligible for match, now they are, at the same rate as everyone else.

@OP An email was sent on Dec 16th from Fiserv Corporate Communications with the subject "Investing in Your Future Enhanced 401k Company Match" and there was also a FUEL article posted on Dec 15th. The match has increased starting in 2026 - to get the full match you need to contribute 6% and Fiserv will match at 4%.

Wait, so SVP's get more 401k match? That seems fair...not. Their salary alone would make them max out the 401k contribution each year pretty easy. Maybe they had to do that because their unvested stock options for the last few years are now completely worthless.
