I have noticed that paying for the balance of remaining days off is something that they do not like
If you remember there was a strange shutdown in the middle of the year that they forced on us before doing that monster LR like an year ago.
It is highly probable that they will again do it in Jan/Fen and not in Nov.
Any thoughts ?

Not any more. Figures I saw were about 3:1 but that was 6-7 years ago.
But given lack of raises in western countries and robust raises in India, I suspect’s now more like 2:1. Declining US$ would also be a thing.

It’s obvious you don’t work here at Crisco. Went to “unlimited” PTO a while ago.
OK then the November LR will be focused on US :-)
They did away with PTO banks (at least in the US) a year ago, there would be nothing to pay out.
