Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Glassdoor Figures….

34% approve of CEO / 50% recommend to a friend. Not great.
There are few companies that rate so badly…

The scary thing is, these figures are with marketing adding positive reviews.
Wonder what it would be for real….

You don’t need to come to layoff to figure out the reality.

Notice a lot of the 5-star reviews are from India? The next big wave of 5-stars will be from IBM. lol

@txc+1cB1CPNK, I respectfully disagree. I think it matters quite a bit.... reviews that are 5+ years old are probably irrelevant.

However, if you do filter by reviews by current employees only, the figures jump to a whopping 56% would recommend, 36% CEO approval rating and 3.2 average. Energizing! Inspirational! Visionary!

@1lxa+1cB1CPNK I am doing just that, no filters, just read the numbers in Glassdoor and the same figures keep showing up: 50% only would recommend to a friend, 34% approve of the CEO, 3.1 average rating from 2.4k+ reviews ..

@rke+1cB1CPNK I just go to the site and read the results. No filter required. Are you doing something other than reading what the Glassdoor website prints?

@eun+1cB1CPNK what filter do you use? The figures are clear: 2.4k reviews, 34% approve of the CEO, 50% would recommend to a friend. Stick to the facts please, not some convenient fiction.

I see 83% approve of the CEO and 73% would recommend to a friend.

Glassdoor data and reviews are skewed as bad as some of our customer's tables. Think about how often we are told to "go post this wonderful, rose colored fact about Teradata on social media!" when in truth. the statements don't say more than they do. We are directed to do this constantly and it is easy to get multiple accounts to post multiple reviews about how great it is here. I have never worked anywhere that my manager encouraged us to preach about how great the company is. When it's your boss, you don't have a choice. Either do it, or you're not a team player.

Does not matter. It’s been at least a decade since Teradata had a good CEO. No seasoned CEO with a track record of success will touch this company. VL was clueless, OR was a rookie and a disaster, now SM is another rookie relying on McKinsey to do his job while he focuses on diversity.

Does it indicate what % of those CEO approvals are within past 18 months? SM only came aboard last year, right?
