Go Team ! IBM YTD RETURN IS NEGATIVE 23% WHILE THE SP500 IS POSITIVE 8.58%

The 1 year return for IBM is negative 13.58% while the SP500 is positive 25%
Is this a joke ?

@eq

What an adolescent knee Je-k THing to say. I recommend you cultivate your mind by starting your Think40

I have competed over 100 hours of THINK 40 at this point and I will be continuing my ascent to Band 7 while you are collecting unemployment.

@dt Did Arvind tell you this while you were blowing him?

@dt Alvind leads the team "Bulldoze Them With BullSheet" (BTWB) which hasn't made a sale since Ginni left.

They have the same old non-functioning tools and playbooks and the tired old strategy which doesn't work. But, most of you experienced readers knew that already, except for Joanne Wrong.

@dm

Arvind is taking IBM to the next level in QC. IBM is the leader in hardware, scale, and enterprise ecosystems, superconducting qubit development, and the IBM Quantum Platform, which allows developers to use their open-source Qiskit framework. We are lucky to have such a forward thinking CEo

The powers that be (not just at IBM) are readying the Quantum Hype Machine (QHM) to have it ready for when the AI bubble bursts. Problem is, that while AI actually exists today (just not as good as people hoped), Quantum Computers do not and won't for probably another 20-30 years. All these stories you read are just lab experiments. QC today is about as advanced as AI was in the 1950s with Marvin Minsky. And at least as far away from reality.

@d3 are Alvind and Krabanaugh peeing in their pants yet again at their sudden good fortune in Quantum Computing no less ?

How many lies did Alvind tell to convince the Trump administration to part with the money ? What lies were they ? Waiting for answers ....and not from the ridiculous IBM India AI BOT who is going nowhere with his Think40 junk badges and executive pipe dreams.

A billion dollar investment by the US government won't hurt the stock price any. The only question remaining is how much of an equity stake did Arvind give up to get that money?

IBM is having a rough YTD stock move. That is fair. But calling the company a joke because of one time frame is lazy analysis. IBM returned roughly 38% in 2025, 39% in 2024, and about 99% over 5 years including dividends. Short-term price action is not the same thing as business quality

@af yeah so as an AI bot are you able to have s-x on line with other bots and enjoy it ?

Can't have you all dressed up and nowhere to go - it's would look right to find you playing with yourself on someone's screen (preferably Alvind's).

IBM stock price normally runs inverse to the entire market. On days the Dow/SP500 are up, IBM is down. When Dow/SP500 are down, IBM is usually up. It's been like this since early 2000s

This stock performance is indicative of a company that is run by mo--ns who have no clue what they are doing, the Strategic Imperatives, Roadmap 2020, Blockchain, Watson, keeping Ginni as CEO for 7 years with her streak of quarterly revenue misses, completely missing out on the Cloud, Warren Buffett unloading all his IBM stock, buying Redhat for 10x more than it was worth etc etc....in the future we will be able to add Quantum computing to this list, but IBM will most likely be a memory and a college case study by then.

These fluctuations are a normal reflection of a dynamic and responsive market, representing the collective expectations and actions of investors. Long-term investors often see these short-term movements as opportunities or as part of the natural ebb and flow of market cycles. If you are a smart investor you will buy IBM stock right now. Arvind and Jim Kavanaugh's strategic Vision is incredible They are doing the needful to culminate IBM's collective intelligence into greatness.

is anyone kicking the collective Alvind and Krabanaugh backsides yet for the IBM stock price debacle ?

That needs to happen and the dynamic failures need to be shown the door. Whatever happened to the AI Bot from India who keeps insisting that he's completing Think 40 badges to get promoted to executive level ?
