Looking good or bad next week? Does anyone have insight as to how our business is doing?

Layoffs today at Otto in Kitchener.
Unconfirmed number.
As long as the stock price is up, no executive will sign off on the layoffs and RIFs. Silent Cost reduction efforts will take place through Attrition, no roles backfill, and hiring freeze efforts
New year AOPs are reduced for the most departments. Raises and Bonuses will definitely come this year along with the headcount reductions.
Yes. First week of November 2025. Confirmed.
I see similiar RIFs paterns in Milwaukee Tool where my husband works.
Heard some rumors that HR teams are affected. Unconfirmed though
Layoffs unlikely at least not in Cambridge.
No new hiring it seems
In the near future, AI will displace most jobs in customer care, administration, and marketing etc etc. I fear that most of the office jobs will go away in the coming years!

@em0 They have only NOT done bonuses or raises a couple of times in the last 20 years. So that doesn't mean much. AI is going to eliminate a LOT of jobs in the next few years.
pleasantly surprised they are going to issue both bonus and merit increases but I maybe they realize the fatigue that is going on.. probably only 2-3% across the board unless you are an a-s kisser
Let us hope that the latest imposed tariffs on Canada (35%) are temporary and do not impact the future of the Canadian location.
I was called back on contract basis in the Cambridge plants.
I think there is too much uncertainty around the tariffs. I cannot see any major layoffs in the near term
Depending how many people quit on their own accord or retire in the next few months, the month of September may be an open season for layoffs. The orders are at all time low. The LV MCC plants are quite lightly loaded.
Rockwell is not different from any other US corp when it comes to layoffs. I cant imagine news rounds of major layoffs for Cambridge or Mexico or MKE plants. Slow attrition and quiet layoffs will remain the main methods to reduce the headcount.
It's a public company. Public companies are focused on shareholder value. Stakeholder value is corporate BS. They will is labor arbitrage, AI and any other method to drive profit. Tech growth positioning drives up multiples. It ain't rocket science. Blake is an id--t always out of his element. He has slightly underperformed peers. He wasted 2.4B to buy $160M in revenue per year for a cr-ppy MES company and made a private equity company happy. He let a lot of really talented leaders leave before they wanted or needed and replaced them with mostly, underperforming sycophants. Make as much as you can and leave if you find a better opportunity. Or just whine hear like a loser. Your choice.
It is evident that most of the tech companies, especially fortune 500 comanies are actively looking to leverage AI, eliminate positions or outsource positions to lower labour cost countries. Sadly thanks to the AI many human jobs will be displaced especially in US and Canada.
Sadly Many existing roles /jobs either be replaced by AI, or eliminated, or outsourced to India. The labour rates of like roles in US are 5X higher than of those in India. Sadly, the business decisons are driven by accountants/finance/sales experts not by engineers. All executives are under the extreme pressure to reduce labour costs and improve productivity.
@24d+1jsz1d4fm if "most non engineering jobs" can be shipped to India, be prepared for quality issues, communication nightmares, deadlines meaning absolutely nothing, and months upon months of delays. You are talking as if HQ should bc moved to India and just have manufacturing globally.
Most of the non manufacturing (ie service jobs) can be outsourced to India with ease. Basically , engineering, project management, IT, procurment roles can be done remotely, i.e outsourced to India. The only way to offset thr impact of the tariffs is to offset the labour costs and outsource the service jobs to India.
Hey "Becky", you might want to take a look at the warranty dollars before patting yourself on your back.
The stock is popping! We are all going to be ok. Blake is the best ceo ever. His house cleaning has paid off. The last remnants of the old guard are gone. He transformed the company and made it great. He alone did this!
I am afraid that this new round of layoffs would impact the mid level managers.
Luckily, I am less than 1 year from retirement. Good luck to the younger generation of managers.
Come on-is Rockwell Leadership on this site. Jane, Tessa, Bob and Matt? Seems like they troll often. I am just a first line manager for safety products in Chelmsford MA. Rockwell used to use safety as a differentiator. Now the "leaders" spew word salad and since Brian and Lee are gone, the new dolts can't spell safety. Am I getting laid off? Good news, Boston is a good area for tech and startups. How is Cleveland and Milwaukee?
I can't wait until Jane and Tessa run the company. Then we can turn the ship around. They are geniuses! Tessa invented Logix and Kinetix! She is to humble to say that, but it is a fact. The core of integrated architecture was envisioned by her. Jane can just sell the sh-t globally of all of this. WINNING! I can't wait until they fire Bobby B, they hate is Ed Grimly hairdo
I doubt that there will be more layoffs this FY. Hiring freeze will definitely continue in Q3 and Q4. The roles will not be backfilled. Work hard and keep your head down.
What?? This site sells my info to Rockwell?? And all this time I thought it was dei for the reason this 50yr old 27 years at ra white didn’t make it past first line manager. Anyway-I love Blake and the leadership team. They are playing 4d chess and after this short amount of pain, we will emerge stronger than Siemens, ABB and BECKHOFF. Trust Blake, Tessa, Matt, Bobby and Becky. The share price is crushing it.
The sales $ are in the decline. The effect of tariffs is clearly making Canada and Mexico plants more expensive! Let us hope the tariffs are not long lasting.
Your use of "our" implies you are an employee, if that is the case, how about sharing what product or BU you work in and your location and share your observations of the past quarter? Worried about being identified? too late, this site already sold your IP Address to RA.
