So sorry to hear this. I was laid off in 2024 from Neurovascular OU. I did a lot of product training overviews for just about every OU. To hear of some of these OUs experiencing RIFs su-ks! I have noticed the steady layoffs since 2024. What has gone wrong for Medtronic to continue restructuring? Did they bite off more than they could chew? Acquiring businesses that they are now letting go of makes me wonder! Wishing the very best for everyone.

@gb because GOSC don’t provide any revenue . We are cost. And according to SLT - people are the biggest cost.

Does anyone know if GOSC electronics vertical is on the hit list?
There is no buzz of layoffs in my team at all and everything seems to be very rosy.

Conference rooms are being booked for tomorrow for GOSC. Those in CM/OEM should be on the list. The VP and their sr directors just travels everywhere in business class for nothing. This group is a cult and it’s toxic - brown nosing each other!

@dw hard to offshore mfg jobs unless they ditch the whole plant, which I doubt. I’m sure they’ll be some re-org that makes no sense and people will be scrutinized as to why previous/new targets can’t be hit with fewer people/less resources.

@df Directors get 4 weeks per year of service? That is bonkers. Senior Director is more understandable.

Post ID: @dg+1kqtxgaqn

@de in the US…. Sr Mgr and below get 2 weeks for every year of service (minimum of 4 weeks and maximum of 52 weeks). Directors get 4 weeks for every year of service (max 52 weeks). This is paid out after the 60 day notification period.

Resorting to use MEIC to save money was one of the worst decisions our leaders have made.

@d6 this is a role that cannot be offshored. Instead, there will be a reduction of quality and integrity of the work in her space. Like a lot of things in this company, it will just get cr-ppier.

Cuts happening in North Haven. Some divisional engineering, a super solid engineering manager that we’re devastated to lose, kitting and QC.
