Ford canceled the F150 Lightning program. The new EV from LAP KY won't launch until 2027. The replacement EV truck in TN won't launch until 2028. What will happen to the BOSK battery plants in KY and TN. Layoffs will start soon if not after the new year.

@nw don’t fight it, leave asap. Skunkworks could be chopped along with P800 and other EV programs. Ford’s future is hybrids and erevs and all that work is alive and well in Dearborn.
@nv None that I ever had, what kind of parents did you have?
@nx If he's an a--hole I doubt anyone had to push any buttons, probably just kept their mouth shut and let the story play out for itself, continuity.
@nw do we have the safety from the two stories? For all we know, it could look like one person is an a--hole, and the other is just sneaky and knows just what buttons to push and when. We must investigate before wasting HRs time with coverups
there is a real a-hole senior manager working on one of DF's pet projects at the Skunkworks, person is a real pos and toxic and is the antichrist, pure evil. How they got this job is a mystery and everyone knows the emperor wears no clothes. As long as Ford empowers a$$clowns like this, the new ev plans are doomed.
@n0 Does a hobbyhorse have a wooden d!ck?
@n0 are we making sure that we are going to “above and beyond” within our team by distributing credit for your contributions accordingly amongst the team to prove that we aren’t “unempathetic” to our supreme leader’s cause? I think whoever detests such strict guidelines in our policy is a traitor and has forgotten what it means when we say “everyone gets a share” in our society. Good work everyone! Everyone! Equally! Equality 🫃🫄🤰
@ee this shows a fundamental lack of understanding of the OS behaviors, do you even work here?
@fr I’m past the Model e excitement. EVs have potential, but right now the economics and environmental math feel upside-down — a lot of hidden costs wrapped in green marketing.
On a lighter note, I’ve noticed you have an interest in psychology. Some of your takes are surprisingly insightful. For me, it’s physics — I end up watching old Walter Lewin lectures for fun. Everyone’s got their thing.
@fr I think an effort should be made to show that consistency, which means to remove distractions or things that set us back from deadline
@e9 Misplaced survivorship bias. Their survivors guilt makes them fully aware of all space for improvement. One by one the layers will be peeled back. An intentional and deliberate effort to improve will be made. We banked a lot on this, it isn’t some pony trick. The key is to make sure the ones working on this stay away from people like you so efforts remain steadfast. Layoffs may be coming soon, but I heard that’s just a rumor
No man. It's just that the rest of us here do math sometimes (apparently more than you) and it just doesn't work out. Do you lack common sense and the brain cells needed for basic arithmetic?
@e9 P800 is being replaced with a new product. Add it to your objectives, OS Behaviours.
@e8 Untrue, there is zero room to improve on the P800.
@e6 Skunkworks is already working on a lower cost replacement of the P800. It is a full size PU truck, code name is Project Johnny Appleseed and it will be the Millennium Falcon of EVs. Elon has been spotted driving around Palo Alto trying to spot it but it is behind multiple layers of crust that only Apple Cobblers are able to view.
@dy Untrue, EVs are quickly becoming America's most in demand product. Imagine when we deliver the P800 - our best foot forward with design, an evolution of the automobile. This is a Faster Horses/Model t moment. Do you lack all strategic vision?
@df nope, it would be a serious mistake. P800 will join U759. Visit any dealer some of Ford’s biggest truck markets and EVs are not in demand or wanted.
P800 is doomed - core engineers were laid off. No way to catch up within 2 years. Thank your Jim & Doberman. Fk them.
@dd This is a defining product that is crucial to our survival as a company, it IS the future of Model e, and of course Model e is the future of Ford Motor Company. Do not worry, this vehicle WILL be a resounding success, and WILL carry Ford into the future. You are welcome.
P800 won't survive, it has already been delayed twice. It is too expensive and even Farley himself said there is no market for $80K+ EVs. Shift will be hybrids so batteries still have a place.
The Ford+ Transformation Plan does take the bumps in the road into consideration. If you have read the material that leadership provides us, you would know this. I and most employees have full confidence in the plan and the upcoming products and services that will gain interest from our customer. BEV's are a huge part of the plan.
Odd thought; water and Li-ion batteries are like a match is to gasoline, so what do they use to contain a fire in place like a battery warehouse or manufacturing plant? Sorry I'm off topic, but what do they do?
ramp up battery inventory to prepare for the deluge of orders. Drrreeeeaaaammm, dream, dream ...
Perfect plan.
Nice!
