This also applies to demoted managers, 1% being laid off

"They also booted one of our best and brightest escalation engineers. "
Stop using these metrics. Dell doesn't give a damn about its customers. Dell doesn't give a damn if valuable resources are let go.
All ELT care is cutting costs by firing well-paid people, like a d-mb wannabe failed entrepreneur would do.
"They are going to go after anyone in sales who is remote and didn't take the relocation package."
Maybe inside sales, but not field. Field sellers are meant to be local to their customers to save on T&E.
What is the thrill you get out of posting this over and over?
Just. Just stop
The signs were clear when leadership placed the head of CoC in charge of all PowerEdge. Despite CoC being widely regarded as one of the least effective teams in ISG, the response was to elevate that leadership into a critical role.
Clarke loves his yes men more than running a strategic company.
as long as VP and Sr.dir PdM of Failed products are still given charge of new AI teams, this company will see layoffs and someone else will pay the price for the failures of VP and Sr.Dir PdM.
Definitely not bottom of the rank. The couple of people I know that were laid off last week were incredibly knowledgeable and top performers. Their only fault was likely their long tenure and salary.
No layoffs in August in ISG
There are no layoffs coming for ISG
I think 1% is too low. They are going to go after anyone in sales who is remote and didn't take the relocation package.
It's 10% and no groups exempt from this round, the managers will already be gone... it's between 40-60% of the remaining / demoted managers in the next 45 days. Good luck everyone!
"I haven't heard anything at all.
They already laid off in ISG last week (storage and core services) mainly people who were at the bottom of the rank from what I understand."
Not sure how they rank the employees, but 2 of the 4 from my team that got the boot took more support tickets than most. To me it looks like anyone with 10+ years were the layoffs candidates. They also booted one of our best and brightest escalation engineers. The dude seriously had 100% retention of anything he read or heard and was capable of supporting customers entire environments from storage to clients and everything in between.
This has to be an engagement bot.
