Should I be worried?

@sx that’s great :) was thinking about you and hoping for the best!
False alarm ¯_(ツ)_/¯
WFR was the best thing that ever happened me too. I took a long holiday after and found myself in another role a few months later with the possibility of upward trajectory in play.
Cheers!
@fd
I would not work either.

When it happened to me, my manager scheduled a Business Update meeting on Friday for Monday am - was pi---d he ruined my weekend and he was shocked I had already told my peers I was being let go and not taking on any work - so clueless
@e0 what is rtms?
Today, another employee in RR RTMS was let go. He had been with Dell for over 20 years and was one of the few who consistently showed up to work every day. His name is Larry.
They started already to get rid of people in ISG.
The other sleepless weekend. I hate to stay here to go through this again and again but the job market is not good outside and my skill is outdate.
@d5 ISG
May we know which group you’re in? Please keep us updated.
Managers are not generally required to invite HR to the meeting. That is up to the manager. All we really have to do is read the script.
The 1x1 was a series I had scheduled, but my manager declined this week with the new suggested time as Monday morning. Not sure if that makes it any less likely it's WFR, but we'll see.
At this point the WFR is a winning lottery ticket. Dell is a dumpster fire with no end in sight. MD is an irrelevant grifter and JC is his dollar store jester.
Take it and run.
Good luck! My WFR was the best thing to happen to me from a personal wellbeing and career perspective in decades.
In my WFR meeting, HR was NOT on the invite. Manager robotically read the WFR script then told me HR would follow up later that day with information. The lovely HR person was rude and insulting when I emailed her with a very simple follow up question - it was offensive to her that I contacted her instead of using the generic WFR operations mailbox.
Well, if you aren’t one of the luckiest motherf----rs on the planet! I don’t know who is.
No one can take this away from you, praise be to God!
HR isn’t always added to the 1x1. Take the money and COBRA. File for unemployment and wait a couple years. UBI is coming.
That’s great news, I’m excited for you! Keep us posted.
My leaders move our 1x1’s all the time as per their needs, but as others have said , only worry if you see someone else (HR) added
@aa solid advice.
Just check if anyone else is on the invite. If there is, you’re golden! Congratulations!
Happened to me last month... if a couple of hours beforehand an additional person is added out of the blue.. then it's WFR for you.
call in sick - leave
drag feet - all are the options
Lucky you.. you will be thankful if you’ve been given a parachute.
@aa good advice, but I don’t think the leader will reveal much.
@aa
Nothing to ask, he's effed
Yes, be very worried.
Happened to me moved it and when we had the call HR was on the line.WFR meeting
Ask your leader directly so this isn't playing on your mind all weekend
