Are they monitoring 60/40 attendance in US and how are they using the data?

If i actually had a desk that was mine and a team to collaborate with, I’d go in. Senior leaders have not walked our areas for yours. No one actually gives a hoot if I’m there. At least my dog appreciates me at my home office. lol
i'd be up for some pune-ta-g in pune
crikey that’s profound! somebody should the wells engineers that the immense subsurface talent in pune is coming for their jobs!
60/40 is damaging people and they don't seem to realise. They want it in fact.
Somebody doesn't work at a site....
You should be happy that you get 60/40 period, the rest of us in the real world get 5 - 6 days in person.
If Someone with an IQ of 60 can destroy $20,000,000,000 in from from the UK, might it be possible that someone in Pune could have done the same for less compensation? Asking for a friend...
at this point....who cares
if a mo--nic london-based ceo can destroy billions upon billions in market cap per year, so can someone in pune for 1/10 the cost
the board, ceo, and lt should be pune-based. the cost will be much lower...and maybe, just maybe, the value of the company might do something strange...like go up.
jobs are moving to pune regardless of whether you go sit in a bP office or not. It does not matter.
Also, do you really believe the talent and quality of work in pune will be great?
My manager told me once....."If a job can be done from home, it can be done from Pune." Point taken.
if someone really wants naperville folks to go to an office, they should find office space in a more reasonable location, like, uh, Naperville.
the whole naperville office is gonna get let go since they never go to chicago??
Everyone is unreal in this post. Did you guys really think a company with this many employees had no tracking on teams, buildings, desks, or anything at all?
BE REAL PLEASE. If you abused 60/40, well time is catching up on you.
@e8+1jtm79mbq after covid, if you got a new badge they moved the sensor. when was the last time you been in office?
At Westlake your badge also has RFID. There are virtual gate checks throughout the building that read your badge without you ever swiping it. They can tell which part of the building you are in, when you are there, how long you are there and who you are with.
i never ever ever sit in the open office area. huddle or conference rooms only.
And they feed your keystrokes into algorithms training AI models to take your jobs.
Be smart. Use copious amounts of four letter words to enhance AI.
If you are in the WL1 building the answer is yes and here are the ways that they are monitoring. I’ve had two different VP’s confirm this that I’ve known for several years and I don’t believe that they are misleading me.
- The first way is where they are monitoring badge swipes in the office, and the VP or SVP will get a weekly or monthly report.
- The other way is by “passive” video monitoring of your work area. When you are sitting at your desk, look up at the ceiling and here is how you can tell.
- You will notice the larger square object, which has markings, this is the WI-FI router.
- Somewhere near there is another square white box, but smaller, like 4” x 4” and it will have a black dot that is around 1/2” - 1” in diameter. That is the video system that was installed after they did away with the 8-80 work schedule and went to the “work life balance”.
- I was told that the system cannot zoom in to see what you are actually doing on your computer, but it is used to monitor the area to see how many people are occupying the workspace. That is why the newer remodeled floor have less desks and look more like a friggin library.
They also screen capture your laptop every couple of minutes and have a record of it.
I think you need to think of other issues than been monitored for 60/40 which clearly you are not following if you are this question, as people said, badging records are monitored and the data may get used later down the line in any performance type conversations if this is being abused for those who are supposed to office based
@a2+1jtm79mbq hahaha...shouldn't they withhold money from executive salaries when they destroy value every year?
This has been monitored for several years now. They also monitor when you first access email and Teams and last access of both each day.
A VP told me she gets a report for employees within her section that shows time/date in office based on badge swipes. They are monitoring at that level. The report isnt even given to line managers. Dont have a problem with this, but I would hope that leadership should focus on more important things...
these mo--ns should monitor the stock price and ceo board and lt get axed if if it down year over year
Yes, they also monitor your computer activity. If you’re not logged in or if you are logged in but not doing anything, then your manager is notified.
If you are not productively working, the company will withhold money from your paycheck.
