Kelsey Seybold has been laying off non clinical employees for over a year due to the Optum deal and integration. Clinic Expansion has never stopped.

@e7 interesting since they did a town hall there last year and acted like it was the best thing since sliced bread

But Wellmed will be no more. Doesn’t Optum have its own clinics?

Most lower level employees layed off. Very few leadership. Too many leaders doing nothing.

@bt as someone who has seen the inner workings of Kelsey, Optum will be a breath of fresh air. Behind the scenes of Kelsey is scary. Would never trust my family to be treated there

Hmm that’s interesting, seems like I’ve seen job postings for the Seybold clinic. But if optum recently bought them I’m not surprised. This is what they did with landmark, they laid off all their staff.

Along with Everett Clinic, Kelsey Seybold was one of the star physician groups acquired by Optum. Merging them with WellMed will crush the quality that they represented. It’s painful to think about the reputation they had in the Houston community being destroyed by Optum, but then that’s just how we roll, isn’t it?

Expect more as they integrate more with WellMed and the South Region
