There isn't enough Model e employees to deploy to Blue to fix the mess they caused with recalls and quality.

It would be a better strategy to keep Model e talent and leadership where they are to grow the brand and that revenue can help cover the quality costs needed to save Blue.

@px+1k3s032wb, Bravo.......Bravo.......

This is exactly what I was thinking. They're activities and tasks are somewhat to D.O.D.G.E. where they are uncovering many inefficiencies and vast cost cutting ideas across all departments they are helping out in...... I've come up with the acronym F.U.G.E. which should be easy to decode, but for some assistance the "E" is for Excellence

Model e team members are the smartest and most talented employees in the company. Everyone knows this. It is precisely why DF has them in his organization only.

@en ford blue employees and nanagement moved to model e back in 2022 or so to staff up for the increase in bev work and staff down the ice work. Now many of those same employees moving back to ford blue for ice / hybrid staff up with bev staff down. Any company statements that model e is structured like a startup is propaganda.

We should stay out of their way and let them do their jobs. They are Ford employees just like us.

EV initiatives are framed as “saving the company” or “saving Detroit", implicitly urging engineering talent to sacrifice for a higher cause even when honesty lags. Engineers report that criticism of management gets reframed as disloyalty to the “mission".

Instead of addressing systemic issues head-on, leaders avoid confrontation by getting their vocal subordinate’s teammates to pressure the targeted employee into conforming through informal conversations, even when their behavior is reasonable.

@ft that explains why there are so many incompetent LL6s in that organization. Most of them have no direct reports so why they are a "leadership level" is beyond me

@en go look at the Model e org chat in outlook or teams and start looking people up on LinkedIn. You will realize many of that came from other Ford positions or came as "boomerang" candidates after working at Ford for many years, going to another company for 1-3 years, then joining Model E. Many incompetent GSRs got promoted to LL6 this way

I don't understand how this will help...managers were moved over to model-e from industrial...relatively few engineers went. Most are either OS or newbies with no ground speed in ICE/hybrid. Another three ring circus act in the making...

I know I'm not the only one that believe JF along with feckless Billy are the worst people to be in charge of any large company. ANY!

Is the board that lazy and ignorant?

@e7 So does this mean the same ol' Ford people were just wearing a new badge at Model e? If most of them came from Ford Blue originally, why were they moved to Model e in the first place?

I’m curious about their backgrounds.

Wasn’t that division supposed to have a more untraditional culture, with people from unique backgrounds and less tied to the usual corporate biases and judgment?

Most model e moving to ford blue were originally in ford blue before being moved to model e a few years ago. So no difference in capability.

Basically, the same people that created all of these recalls are coming back to Ford Blue team and try to fix the recalls.

It will take 20 years to fix the mess that Ford is in with recalls. Good luck.

I am not and will never buy a Ford or Lincoln.

This should be entertaining! Most of them were part of the teams that created the recalls originally. How will Model E survive if the best and brightest are distracted by their new job assignments?

This initiative will provide help to the group within Ford that obviously most needs the help, the legacy Ford activities. Model e is has superior technology and processes than the legacy areas like Blue, plus more capable leadership.

@OP. Model E and quality? LOL. You mean the better paid Model E employees are going once more to steal Ford Blue IP, and pass it as their own, right?
