Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

OWD

If ranked OWD (2nd time in 3y), as a Cl 27, 10 y o service. What is expected raise without promo? With promo +5%?

@2a4 It is somewhat difficult to tell which posts are real versus trolling, but I would hope that you would already have a good grasp of how the compensation works by this point. Yes, a CL promotion will provide the 5% raise. However, regardless of PA group, much will depend upon where you sit on the salary curve. If you're at or over the group target, you can be assured that you won't be getting any real raise despite the OWD. Best you can hope for at this point would be a few more RSUs.

Actually, supervisors that fail as supervisors fall very far when moved back to technical roles. They have become technically obsolete in a few years (excel, word and powerpoint skills are bad), plus the knowledge of the operations out-of-date. My experience is if they fail as supervisors they are 3 rank sessions from NSI. Plus they are above salary band because their performance was usually inflated vs staff professionals.

If you are OWD for a second time and a high flyer then you are not on this site asking questions about your pay. You are a trolling d1-khead.

OWD doesn’t dictate salary if I recall correctly. I does give you some more RSUs and looks good on the resume.

Even supervisors can be nsi. 28/29s are forced in the same relative buckets.

If you are 3 years OWD and last promo was more than 3 years ago then you should be close to your salary band. Expect inflations plus 3 %...only way to get a big bump is the 5% promo, but you will fall in ranking once in a CL28/29 RG unless you are a manager. Get a supv job first then cross into a CL28/29

Depends on how your current salary compare to your CL and ranking position. I’ve seen cases where the increase is less than the average increase for that year since prior years positioned the salary over its CL / ranking target

You’ll likely get double the average salary increase for the country you’re in. Ie if the budget is 5% you’re probably pushing 10

I have a friend in a similar situation. She's still at 27. Several years after getting owd a couple times. Nothing is guaranteed and upward motion is getting harder to achieve.
