I have no inside knowledge but IMHO, Ascension will never going back to inhouse IT. All the tribal knowledge resides with HCL now and besides that, who in the US would ever go back and work for them? They sacked the majority of their staff in the middle of a pandemic and resulting global downturn. So, if they do not renew the contract with HCL, they will turn it over to one of the other, India based DCO giants like TCS or Accenture...
