Does anyone know if there is more layoff coming in risk department? 100 more people get laid off this March. Will it be the end?

Risk and Controls Dept. gives you gas ??
You must work in the 388 Greenwich building. R&C there is full of HOT AIR !!! 🔥🍑🎈
Idk about you but some of the RC folks should have been kicked long ago. The ones I know r d-mb as a box of rocks but talk a good game to cover their butts. Problem is they think they doing ok. No one has the ba--s to tell them what you are doing is failing. They just move people to other work and tell the losers it’s freeing up their time. lol. Wake up people.
Control? Risk Management? This place is out of control and so risky it gives me gas!
Which Risk group(s)? Enterprise Risk? ORM? Independent Risk? Credit Risk?
Risk is far too vague for an organization of this size. Please be more specific.
I find out about layoffs when my emails get returned because the person I'm working with in no longer there.
Of course that becomes my problem 🙄
Like are these people sworn to silence or something? We work with a lot of ppl in this area and no one has said a peep. Maybe it’s all the extra OOO lately but I would think people would want to cash out vaca time.
Idk. I do believe it’s all happening but guess we won’t know until they are gone. I do see SVPs and MDs “disappearing” again in IT like last year around this time.

FO is the owner of the risk - they come up with the controls - Risk just validates how adequate they are. That is why FO and Risk are called 1st and 2nd line of defence - Risk is not wholly responsible for all failures.
My colleague is accountable for operational risk but she never in the office. She actually work from all over the world.
That makes more sense , Risk group failed to put controls in place and it caused millions of fines
They are still laying off in Risk. Thats all I know for sure.
