Thread regarding SAP layoffs

All in on AI Chaos

Morale is at all time low, teams are divided, some with connections travel to WDF and Palo Alto for All in on AI workshops and the rest become mere spectators of what’s next to come without any stake in decisions.

Joule for Work rebranding of Joule Studio was a big flop in the 2 demo sessions, not fit for Sapphire launch, buggy, slow and complicated like a typical SAP product. SAP has mastered the art of making simple things complicated and buying new companies to keep the revenue going.

This house of cards will fall soon and all the old investments will go bust from wdf oldies.

@mz absolutely correct! SAP will be around for a long time and profitable, but without growth and with 1/5 of the onsite employees (Indian outsourcing will explode).

yes - the maintenance revenue can sustain SAP if it cuts its staff by half. SAP is not a growth company (see any new customers lately) and just keeps flogging products to the same customers who are all eager to reduce the annual maintenance fees. Like Kodak, IBM and many others, SAP is in its decline and will focus on reducing overhead/cost-cutting for the next 5 years.

Sap is a government company , we get 22% maintenance revenue from our ecc and s4 installations . We have like 45 thousand customers , the real erp customer paying us close to 2 billion every quarter . That is more than enough to run Germany and other locations. Our eco system is still all Tcode mania . We talk AI only for the market to think we are AI first . We can buy some AI labs do some BS demo . CK knows it . The company will always make money . But the markets don’t see us as a growth company . If I have 100 dollars would I invest in sap or nvdia ? The stock will be like this . That is why CK gets paid bonus in cash and not in stocks .

If SAP want to clean up their mess, they need to promote two or more Indians to the board.

For every 1 employee there are 4-6 so called leads and managers standing on their neck to excel at AI so that their jobs and retirement packages can be saved. Never felt so helpless and miserable in this tough market condition where such companies and their L2,L3 and direct managers never miss an opportunity to exploit the T2,T3,T4 by fear parroting that all he-l will broke loose if you don't deliver.

I want to know your opinion about the notion of "Automatic Enterprise" mentioned by CK in the last All Hands meeting.

Since SAP will implement this concept internally, it seems like they're just waiting until the company reaches a certain level of process automation so they can layoff the people who setup and configured this automation... Basically we are told to build a system that will replace us...

I just want to tell them Ok folks if you want to go this way then fine but just don't force me to build a plan that will make me either redundant if I "succeed" or underperforming if I "fail" and either way I end up beeing fired.

@dx "someone is gonna be blamed for it"

The executive board is already blaming the holy trinity
1: the employees
2: the shareholders
3: current world events

Of course they would never take responsibility for making bad decisions and not having a real strategy.

@dr not sure if failure is by intent, but for sure someone is gonna be blamed for it. SAP is partnering with Palantir that’s also true, and that implies a far-right agenda.

@cd They want to fail. And then remove all non German speakers. And help Palantir as much as possible. And help AfD win. The perfect plan.

Agree to all that. Furthermore, Business AI org lead by CK friends and not by the most brilliants minds in AI. CTO, CAIO, all belong to CK’s mafia. All in AI a guaranteed failure.
