When was Allscripts in McCormick Place? The office is, and has been, in Merchandise Mart.
Since there’s a poster bombing all the threads with the same question, here’s some more food for thought. Allscripts used to be hq’d in McCormick Place and now part of that facility is being turned into a field hospital. With Epic software. Because that’s what most Chicago hospital systems use. Ouch.
There are plenty of good, solid companies weathering this fine. MetLife, red hat, etc. Got out a few years ago and have been thankful every day.
Wonder why bonuses aren't cut by 40% as well? Says a lot about leaders in the organization. How much of C-Suite compensation is the salary cut that they take?
@dwd so true
Would be nice to see some local coverage........after all the tax breaks they got to move to the new office.
Just want to add, WHY media coverage? I don't think that "the media" gives a rat's behind about Allscripts even on a good day, it's not like we're a household name. The financial market news or an Industry source may put out a blurb or two - but there wasn't any media interest during any of the prior purges why should there be any now? Don't remember any "media" coverage in 2007-2009, 2011, 2013, 2016, 2018 which all had 500+ people layed off at a time. Especially considering what's going on in America today?
They have no time to cover all layoffs that are happening daily
Does this count?

Every single company is having either massive capital spending cuts, layoffs, pay cuts, temporary layoffs or furloughs.
Remember, 9 million people claimed unemployement over last 14 days. New unemployment numbers will be released on Thur.
We are just a drop in the bucket.
This is massive guys.
Media is focused on a pandemic and a controversial president
