Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

The pressure is designed to make us leave

All these changes and the constant stress seem intentional. They want us to quit so they don't have to pay severance. I'm getting close to doing it.

Short term targets still exist..nothing seems to have changed regardless of what Mike Lyons professes. It all just seems like lip service.

Incompetence by senior management hamstrung by having to achieve short term targets with extremely limited resources - systems and people wise is a recipe for mediocrity.

Also many senior managers have been around way too long that the ideas they are "exploring" are things that our competitors have had as minimum standards for a number of years already.

I need to try and let this place not live rent free in my head on my days off as I know I won't be here forever. So hard when you're worked like a massive dog with ridiculous workloads though.

I really should have gone into work on the weekend to catch up on emails on my day off just to try and stay afloat however I've decided my mental health is more important and I'm not going to give up my day off for management's failures to hire enough people. They can deal with the fallout instead of just me for things that have been flagged for months onto deaf ears.

What pressure?

I think it’s just incompetence. They literally do not have long term plans and every EVP/SVP just wants their crew around whenever they get pulled in so leadership changes constantly.
