Ford will never change!

The Ford management never changes from past, present and future with the same either lazy, unqualified self serving... as workers keep getting blamed.

There's a lot of 'project managers' that come out of Chennai. There are a ton in my org. Don't see them really contributing other than doing project cards and calling meetings.

The friends and family club is alive and well AND multicultural at Ford.

It’s amazing this repetition. It’s a chronic disease. Anyone else remember when Chennai was announced? Our management announced that to counterbalance the spotty infrastructure and the constant employee turnover the top 15% of employees would be given a Visa. We all took side bets on how this would play out, and yes as you would expect the most skilled and talented were not the ones who received visas. It was amazing how those receiving visas were immediately placed in management roles where the teams within a three year period were entirely replaced with new individuals of the same nationality. Years later there were some in the management who quietly left to pursue other opportunities after a pay to play internal investigation.

The question constantly struggled with is Is Ford management this foolish? Or this corrupt? Usually in these circumstances incompetence is the answer, but idk what allows it to keep happening?

The younger generation is avoiding STEM because they are smart, not lazy. They know what we are going through (not just Ford), the Tech field is dead and miserable.

I see so many incompetent people getting promoted because they fill some kind of quota.

Promote and hire for ability and not identity.
