The top 3 levels of managements are non-technical. How will they make proper decisions? They led with corruption.

It’s the first line managers that are really the problem. They are the ones we see and interact with everyday. They set the tone. They create the work environment. They are ones habitually lying to us. Remember the last round of layoffs? They knew MONTHS before who was affected. But they just smiled at us and said we don’t know anything at this point. Lying snakes! Right to our faces over and over again. Many are using the disarray to advance their own secret hidden personal agendas. They are the true villains of the story.

Cut GM and VPs. Some GM and VP from ATTD came to LTD, this is through the politics by Ann. These ATTD folks are clueless on LTD, why they are managing LTD? This is the main reason Ann destroyed TD and made TD is failing apart.

Useless managers are blocking technology development.

How do FLMs tie into middle management? Do you think we should do focal with 100 people per manager? Should be real efficient. Managers can spend all Q4 writing reviews.

No wonder you go let go with SET.

@dm if that's how you type English then it's best you don't speak English. Continue with your telugu or Russian or whatever is that you speak

If Intel is a US company, then it should limit the number of Indian managers. Some org of 1000 people in TD have over 90% Indian managers. In work, I am like working in Indian, all people and managers are Indians. I have not speak real English in past 4 years.

$ndian "nepotism" in hiring, firing, interviewing, promoting(PE, Senior PE, Fellow, Senior Fellow, Director, VP), rewarding must end. As an example ook at Sachin Katti and Srinivas Lingam. He came, got ridoff good experienced Americans mgt and then brought in no-good all $ndians (Srinivas etc)!!

"We need to keep a lot of them, they will be key to our recovery. "

No need to keep them. 1,460,037,105 Indians are eagerly awaiting their turn in the Intel semiconductor mine. And they'll work for cheap.

"ChatGPT, please to be telling me, how to make the semiconductor chip? Saar? Please help, Saar!"

I think there will be a big cut in middle management. However we need to be smart in our precision cuts. A lot of those middle
Managers were once excellent individual contributors. We need to keep a lot of them, they will be key to our recovery. They can once again be excellent IC’s.

Middle management less inspiring than beige Formica countertop with a Matt finish. Wants just enough HC and funding to show scope, but doesn’t want to rock the boat. Cut this wasteful middle management

We need to go back to community colleges to get basic engineering training courses and certifications again. We are clueless at what to do at Intel since our promoters left.

define "middle manager"?? grade 8-10?
I'm grade 5...direct manager is 8...his manager is 10
If they're both on the chopping block...do I start reporting to the VP?

@a3 they all are armchair qbs. My manager is a prime example. Knows absolutely nothing technical but is the one who has the most opinions
